On the day of Sri Krishna Janmashtami;
special pooja of Lord SriKrishna will be performed in the nandi mantapa of Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple.

By the evening salamu mangalarati (a typical pooja with deevatige) will be go to the temple of Sri Krishna known as krishnapura in Gokarna and perform pooja there.
Then proceeds to the temple of Sri Venkataramana and performing pooja will be return to the Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple.

Next day; evening at 5 pm the Utsava of Lord Mahabaleshwara with all its pomp and glory moves in the town in Gokarna and while moving, the earthen pot filled with curds will be broken in 19 special places. It is a Utsava, where all the people of Gokarna and the visiting devotes will be attend with devotion .
