Dear devotees of the Lord,

Gokarna is the sacred soil where God Parameshwara took the form of an Atmalinga and settled down on earth. This place, which is the place, where universal protector the lord appeared on earth and destroyed the universal demon Ravana, is also the family settlement of the Lord. This is also the place, where the most revered Hindu saint Adi Shankaracharya, who spread the spiritual knowledge from south to north all over India, established the sacred and saintly Jagadguru Peetham, ShreeRamachandrapuraMath.

Ever within reach of the devotees touch and archane, always protecting his devotees with a look , this Lord’s most sacred and worshipping day is MAHASHIVARATRI. The ShreeKshetra Gokarna is getting ready in every respect to celebrate this most holy and truly SHIVARATRI by ending all the darkness of life and open a new happy life for them in a unique way.

This mammoth celebration, which signifies the beginning of the end of the devotees problems and the way to a new, prosperity in life, is being under the able leadership of JagadguruShankaracharya Gokarna Mandaladheeshwara Shree Shree RaghaveshwaraBharathi Mahaswamiji, from 23th February to 03rd March 2014. On this occasion, when the devotees will personally perform Abhisheka to the lord’s Atmalinga, various poojas , various religious rites such as Rudra Japa etc. Tulabhara, a religious meet, cultural programmes , and Amrutanna Prasada Bhojanin the form of continuous Annadaana etc have been organized.
