Gokarna was under the administration of the math from ancient times. Government in 2008 re-handed the temple back to SriMath. This paved the way for all-round development and thereby the beginning of an era of development. From the day one, able administration, efficacious management and cleanliness had been stressed upon and a productive change had been brought about in religious and social works which gained the appreciations of the devotees.

Administrative management, pooja arrangements, cleanliness, security, darshana system of God and Amritanna Prasad food system were all practised in a systematic manner in the Mahabaleshwara temple of Gokarna. These were also subjected to the exploration and examination by experts. All the system in place and the administrative management has conformed with the ISO 9001:2008 standards which led to providing the ISO certification for the divine temple. This has proved the administrative effectiveness of SriMath and the certification is the evidence of its transparency.
